Using The BALM at Night!

So here's a question that we get asked often: "When should I use the BALM on my hair?"

The answer is, there's really no right answer. You should use it whenever it's most convenient for you. For most women that's at night or in the evening.

So this Blog post briefly discuss using the BALM Hair Growth Treatment at Night.

Now, let's talk about putting products on our edges before we tie them up.
I never use the BALM right before bed because it is an oil based product. And you definitely don't want the product to seep through your headscarf or pillow case.

So I always use it first thing in the morning. However, if you're only able to put it on at night because you don't want to walk around with the smell or whatever your reason may be, you can use it before bed.

The key is not using too much. And also, if you use it before bed, try to leave it on as long as you can then use a clean damp cloth to dab off some of the excess, so the oils wont sink through your head scarf, bonnet, sheets or pillowcase.

What about using it more than once per day?

You can use it multiple times a day. That's fine. But when you do, use it sparingly. The product is full of herbs and very potent, so a little goes a long way. If you check out the video and you can see I'm barely running my fingers  through the product before applying.

Just keep in mind that with any products that get applied to your scalp, they can eventually cause build-up. So keeping your scalp clean especially when using oil based products, prevents your pores from being clogged.

And so what happens when your pores are clogged?
Nothing can grow. So you want to make sure that you keep your scalp clean.

On one of our Facebook Lives, I gave simple tips about keeping your scalp clean, using things like apple cider vinegar, regular water, soap and water.

OK, I know we can't wash or shampoo our hair all the time, and that's fine. But you can keep your scalp, especially your edges, especially if you have ball spots, especially if you constantly put in products for growth or oil based products on your scalp

Remember, we are not talking about your hair, we're specifically talking about your scalp. Your scalp is the foundation for your hair growth. Right? So cleanliness is important especially if you're working on trying to regrow your hair.
